I think I might have said something like this before, but it stands to reason, and it’s one of the things that EA really over-looked when making Red Alert 3.

Red Alert 1 - Albert Einstein goes back in time from 1946 to 1924 and erases Adolf Hitler. This creates the Red Alert timeline and the events that lead up to Red Alert 2 and (arguably) Tiberian Dawn.

Red Alert 3 - the Soviets go back in time to 1927, where Albert Einstein is erased from history, in an attempt to eradicate the Allies’ technological superiority. This created the Red Alert 3 timeline.

However, here’s the problem. Einstein went back in 1946, which means that he has to remain alive until then in order for the whole series of events that led up to the beginning of Red Alert 3 to happen. In Red Alert 3, however, the creators of the game overlooked the fact that Einstein has to remain alive until 1946 in order for the Red Alert timeline to even exist. If he is erased in 1927, then he does not go back in time in 1946, Hitler is reinstated and World War 2 ends without nuclear weapons on either side. In short, the entire Red Alert timeline and universe is destroyed.
