Fell in love with a Country Girl, morning sunshine
She was up from a nether world, just to bust another soul
Her eyes were an endless flame, holy lightning
Desire with a special name, made to snatch your soul away, yeah

Oooh, yeah yeah!

We sailed away on a crimson tide, gone forever
Left my heart on the other side, all to break it into bits
Her smile was a winter song, a Sabbath ending
Don’t sleep or you’ll find me gone, just an image in the air

In dreams I think of you
I don’t know what to do with myself
Time has let me down
She brings broken dreams, fallen stars
the endless search for where you are

Sail on, sail on, sail on, sail on

Fell in love with a Country Girl, morning sunshine
She was up from a nether world, just to bust another soul
Her eyes were an endless flame, unholy lady
Desire with a special name, made to snatch your soul away, oh!

Don’t sail away on a crimson tide!
Don’t leave your heart on the other side!
Her eyes are an endless flame
Desire with a special name
Don’t ever fall in love!
Don’t give your heart away!
No never, never fall in love with a Country Girl!

Heaven and Hell - Country Girl/Neon Nights

Glenn Hughes - Country Girl

Country Girl vocal cover coming soon: Need help

I’m in the mood to do some classic Heaven and Hell tunes, specifically from their second album, The Mob Rules. “Country Girl” seems to jump out at me, despite my attachment to the title track and “Falling off the Edge of the World.” Now this is probably a big request, however, since Google Images has proven inadequate in providing me with appropriate images, I’m sending this request out to all “Country Girls” between 17 and 30 from the South, South-east and South-western United States. If you want to be part of hard rock history, reply to this post with a photo of yourself and your Country swagger. I’m hoping to have a collage of images for the “video” once it’s done, which is why I’m asking. For the sake of this project, I’ve set a dead-line of November 4th, the 30th anniversary of this great album, for any submissions to be made.

Thank you, ‘y’all’ take care and stay metal.
